PETG Matte
A tough PETG with a soft matte finish. It takes knocks and heat better than PLA and bonds well between layers, which makes it the choice for functional parts: brackets, housings, clips and anything that lives outdoors or next to warm electronics.
- Density
- 1.37 g/cm³
- Tensile strength (XY)
- 42.9 MPa
- Heat deflection temperature (1.8 MPa)
- 71 °C
- Max overhang without supports
- 70°
Colours
A soft matte surface that hides layer lines and does not pick up fingerprints.
- Black
- White
Good for
- Functional parts that get knocked, dropped or flexed
- Enclosures and mounts near warm electronics, up to about 70 °C
- Outdoor parts: moisture and sunlight affect PETG less than PLA
- Clips and snap fits that need a little give
Keep in mind
- Fine detail and sharp corners come out a little softer than in PLA
- Overhangs need supports sooner, and support marks show more
- The surface scratches more easily than PLA
- Not resistant to acids, alkalis or some organic solvents
Specifications
Typical values measured by the filament manufacturer on standard test specimens. A printed part behaves differently depending on its shape, infill and orientation on the plate.
XY: loaded along the layers. Z: loaded across the layers, which is always the weaker direction.
